How Do I Become a Christian?

Becoming a Christian begins with hearing the good news about Jesus. The Bible tells us that God made us to know and love Him, but we have all turned away from Him in sin. We cannot fix this on our own.

The good news is that Jesus Christ lived the perfect life we should have lived and died the death we deserved to die. Jesus went to the cross in our place, taking our sins on Him.  He rose again on the third day so that all who trust in Him can be forgiven and have new life with God now and forever.

To become a Christian is to turn from trusting in yourself and place your trust in Jesus alone—to receive Him as Savior and follow Him as Lord. The Bible says, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved.”
